Visualizing
In any artform there's the seeking to understand, and then aesthetically conveying some of that perception to others, even when based on someone else's concepts.
After reading JRR Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings' series some years ago, and before the movies came out, I was moved to try to imagine these characters through their description details, and their adventures.
Empathy
I created over 50 illustrations for the Dyslexia Treatment Center in Saratoga, CA, each after consultation with experts. These images were mainly placed on large panels as instructional tools for children and their parents to understand their varied leaning styles and the challenges they faced. They were also used in professional conference presentations and in PR publications. A selection of these visual concepts is displayed below.
