NEIGHBORS IN MASKS PROJECT
This backdrop of scenes provided the context of how our neighbors have responded to the Covid-19 SIP stress and isolation. The series got a title: “1-Hour Pastel Chalk Portraits of Close Neighbors, Painted 6’ Apart, With Masks Added”.
Neighbor portraits were framed, and mounted on a 6' X 6' backdrop of photoshop-knitted scenes photographed from our daily 5 o’clock ‘Waves’
Here's a look at some of the journey we took together. And included just below are a few examples demonstrating the painting progression of some of these quick pastel portraits.
